The relationship between tRNA gene multiplicity and codon selection in
yeast, emerging from the analysis of the complete genome of
Saccharomyces cerevisiae, has been recently described in a paper*.

A program for calculate the correlation between codon frequency of a
Saccharomyces cerevisiae coding sequences and the gene copy number of
the relevant tRNAs is available at the WWW site:

	http://irisbioc.bio.unipr.it/redundancy.html

Correlation coefficient and regression analysis values proved to be
effective descriptors of the translational selective pressure operating
on a particular gene suggesting their use to infer the expression level
of individual yeast protein coding sequences.
