IF method for Candida?

I'm looking for a reliable method for immunofluorescence of permeabilized
yeast phase and germ tubes of C. albicans. My attempts so far adapting a
Saccharomyces protocol that worked well for me before has resulted in
yeast cells that get chewed up during lyticase treatment, and germ tubes
which either get sheared during centrifugation or (apparently) adhere to
pipet tips and microfuge tubes (I lose a high percentage of germ tubes at
every manipulation.) Any suggestions for a Candida neophyte are
appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave
