A Postdoctoral/Research Associate position is available from September 1,
1998 to investigate mechanisms underlying the regulation of alternative
splicing in mammalian cells. The project will focus on developing novel
strategies for the isolation and characterization of factors involved in
specific alternative splicing events implicated in normal cellular
differentiation and tumor metastasis.
The position is fully funded for three years by the USDoD Breast Cancer
Applicants should be experienced with molecular cloning, cell culturing,
and FACS sorting methods. Experience with subtractive hybridization and the
preparation of enriched cDNA libraries would also be an advantage.
