Hello Yeast People,
I have a question regarding the integration fequency of PCR mediated
gene integration compared to an integrating vector using one of the
common markers.
The regions of homology whith the PCR method is only
30-45bp on each side, an integrating vector can have very long regions
of homology with the site of recombination.
Is the frequency of integration much higher for the integrating vector
than the PCR method ?
Thank you in advance for any answer !
Sincerely,
Björn Johansson
