POSTDOCTORAL POSITION yeast osmostress response

In the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Vrije Universiteit
Amsterdam, a 2-year postdoctoral position is available, for studies on the
osmotic stress response in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Special emphasis will
be on the characterization of the recently discovered alternative mechanism
to activate the HOG MAPkinase pathway. This research project forms part of
the EU TMR-project 'Response of yeast and plant cells to changes in
external osmolarities'; see http://www.chem.vu.nl/ryplos/index.html.
Therefore candidates must be nationals from EU-members states (except The
Netherlands) or associated states.
For information and application please contact Pim Mager: mager at chem.vu.nl
