Inhibitor of DNA synthesis in yeast

To all yeast researchers,

Does anybody now a reliable way to quantify DNA synthesis in yeast (I have
problems with incorporation of radiolabeled nucleotides).

In addition, all chemicals tested did fail to inhibit yeast DNA synthesis,
including azido derivatives of nucleotides. Does anybody know a good standard
which inhibits DNA synthesis quite well?.

Thanks for your help in advance.
