Please pass this along to anyone who may be interested. Thanks!

Available immediately to perform cloning, sequencing, and molecular
investigation of the novel lysine genes of the pathogenic yeast Candida
albicans; also to perform protein expression and determination of
structure and functional domains of key enzymes as well as PCR detection
of fungal pathogens based on lysine gene sequences as targets. The
alpha-aminoadipate pathway for the biosynthesis of lysine is present
only in fungi and not in bacteria, plants, or humans. Therefore, the
unique genes and enzymes of lysine synthesis are of considerable
interest for molecular studies and potential targets for rapid detection
and control of important yeast pathogens including Candida albicans.
Research experience in gene cloning, recombinant DNA techniques,
enzymology, DNA sequencing, PCR and site-directed mutagenesis is
required. Send resume or CV and recommendation letters to Dr. J.K.
