Hi. I do not know if this is the right place to look/ask or if someone can
reffer me to the correct place, but I have been given an assignment from my
Chef instructor to find out why raw onions kneaded into bread dough
inhibit/almost destroy yeast growth. I am wondering if it is related to the
sulfuric compounds in onions which is what causes one to cry when cutting an
onion. Can anyone please help me? If so, please e-mail me at the following
