Tue Feb 10 15:48:30 EST 2004

I would like to bring to your attention a great opportunity for a
post-doc or finishing graduate student to gain teaching experience.
We would love to find a candidate who has experience with yeast or C.
elegans to complement the existing expertise in the department.
Please forward this announcement to anyone who you think might be
interested in the position.

Cheers-
Greg Hermann

The Biology Department at Lewis and Clark College seeks to hire a
full-time visiting faculty member to teach upper division
lab-intensive courses in Molecular Biology (fall) and Cell Biology
(spring) for the academic year 2004-05. The candidate will be
expected to teach investigative, project-based undergraduate labs that
engage students in current research questions and techniques (PCR,
molecular cloning, immunofluorescence microscopy, etc.). Please
submit a CV, 2 letters of recommendation, a teaching statement, and a
tentative plan/syllabus for each laboratory course to Dr. Deborah
Lycan, Biology Dept, Lewis and Clark College, Portland OR 97219. We
will begin evaluating applications on March 15, 2004.
