I am not sure if this is the right list to post this but,

I am a molecular biology student looking for a PhD position. I am
mainly interested in synthetic biology and systems biology. In general
I want to be involved in both experimental and computer aided/in
silico methods. particularly I want to work on building artificial
gene networks and explain their dynamics by modelling/simulations.

So far I have had wet-lab experience with gene expression noise in
yeast (with C.Cantor and J. Collins, Boston University, USA) which
involved recombinant DNA techniques, fusion protein design,
characterization and flow cytometry. I also had computational
experience with network topology analysis. I am a co-author for the
paper "On Dynamics and Optimization of Gene-Environment Networks(in
review) and gave a talk in Workshop on Networks in Computational
Biology, September 10-12 2006, Ankara, Turkey to present my results
for topology and robustness analysis of a yeast functional gene
network.

If there are professors interested in discussing PhD studentship
options, I would love to send them my resume and abstracts, and talk
in depth. For others, sorry for taking your time.

Regards,
