I don't remember how does it works in the USA but in France, there is no company specialized in velvet. You have to go to a fabric store like Michales (a craft shop) for the east coat and try the different velvets. My advice is to no buy the most expensive one and no the thicker one. A thin one is better but whatever you buy, the older the velvets are, the better they work!. Good luck for your quest.. And a last piece of advice, don't dry them in a dryer machine because it tends to unravel...
