Hello to all,

I recieved some S. pombe WT strains and wanted to let them grow on rich
medium. For this I used the normal YAPD medim for S. cerevisiae containing
yeast extract, peptone from casein, glucose and a few amounts of
additional adenine sulfate. I got the strains on filter paper and
prewetted it with sterile water and streak it then out on the YAPD plates.
But the strains didn't grow on that medium. I used the YAPD medium for
many other yeast strains like C. albicans, K. lactis and others and for
all it worked fine. Do I need a medium especially for S. pombe and if yes
does anybody have an easy receipt for it? Thank you very much!

Best, Katrin
