Dear Cindy,<br>
<br>
The Saccharomyces Genome Database (SGD; <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://www.yeastgenome.org/">http://www.yeastgenome.org/</a>)
has a file available for download that lists yeast genes with their
BLASTP best hits from several other organisms, including human. The
file is called 'best_hits.tab' and may be downloaded from this
directory of our FTP site:<br>
<br>
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="ftp://genome-ftp.stanford.edu/pub/yeast/sequence_similarity/best_hits/">ftp://genome-ftp.stanford.edu/pub/yeast/sequence_similarity/best_hits/</a><br>
<br>
There is a 'README' document in this directory that describes the
contents and format of the file.<br>
<br>
I hope this is helpful; please let me know if you have further
questions.<br>
<br>
Best regards,<br>
Maria<br>

<pre wrap="">Dear All,
I need to find human homologe genes of a list of yeast genes. I know how to get human homologe gene one by one but this is tedious if you have say 50 genes to do. I wonder is there any tool we can use to find list of homologe genes at one go?
Thank you for your help.
Cheers
Cindy

Hi Linnea,
Degradation may occur during your 1 hour solubilization step.
Maybe you could try to do 10 minutes of solubilization before the
clearing step, and then analyze your sample directly after clearing?
Best,
Martin
