Red tint on the sides of Zbfish

Hello,

Does anyone know what a red tint on the side of zebrafish indicates?  Is 
it the "pigment change" which results from Velvet disease?

The fish which we got did not have the red tint, and only recently (about two 
weeks after we obtained them) did it appear.  I suspect it's not Velvet 
because of the two week period when they seemed fine.  Could overcrowding 
possibly cause this?
