Hello zebrafish investigators,
I am a PhD graduate student very close to graduation and am considering
fields to get into for my postdoc and possibly future carrier. I am
currently a yeast geneticist and wondering if there is anyone out there
that has made this transition. I would like to hear about your experiences
with respect to the difficulty with which you learned to think like a
developmental biologist and how long it took to learn to work with and
become familiar with the embryology of zebrafish. Finally, if you were
given a second chance, would you do it over again or would you get into a
field that you could become familiar with faster and easier? I thank you
in advance for your replies.
