To Whom It May Concern:
I am trying to put together a developmental lab for the rest of my
Developmental Class here at Point Loma Nazarene College, (San Diego), and am
interested in doing something with PCR and Zebrafish.
I would like to do some type of lab where the other students would
do PCR from different stages of Zebrafish embryos, in order to amplify up a
gene that would be present in one stage but not the other.
I have DNA available from the gastrula stage (6-9 hr.), neurula
stage (9-16 hr.), post somitigenesis stage (20-28 hr.), and adult DNA.
Therefore, I was wondering if anyone could tell me of any genes that
would be expressed in any one of these stages but not in any others.
Moreover, I can design the primers, but in that case, I would also need to
know the sequence of any of these genes anyone can suggest, or the genbank
number of the gene so I can get the sequence. Thank you very much. I am not
on the "fishnet", so any answers should be sent to :
