Respirometery or measuring gases produced by bacteria is a
reliable method of measuring bacteria growth. We have developed
RESPIROMETER which can measure O2 consumtion and CO2 production
by aerobic bacteria. The same instrument can also be used for
measuring anaerobic processes when equiped with additional gas
analyzers for H2, H2S, CH4, NH3 CO etc. Respirometer has
sensitivity : 0.2 ul of gas pe hour. Measurement is based on
periodic measurments of gas head space content using one set of
precission ( 0.001% resolution) gas analyzers. Multiplexing gas
valves connect gas analyzers to 1 to 80 reactors (chambers).
Software allows multiple experiments at the same time. The same
system can be configured to operate with constant air supply to
the reactors. Applications: biodegradation of polymers and oil,
oxygen consumption of plants and vegetables, germination of
seeds, respiration of soil, respiration of algea, respiration of
rats and mice and many more. You may look at at our home page:

street address to which I will send you application papers. Jan
