Funded Research Associate, Postdoctoral and Technician postitions are
available in the laboratory of H. Joseph Yost at the Huntsman Cancer
Institute, University of Utah.

A variety of projects are available within two areas of developmental
genetics, using zebrafish and/or Xenopus as model systems:

1) Study the genes and developmental mechanisms that regulate
left-right asymmetry in the vertebrate body plan, including heart
development. One of our long-term goals is to take the genetic
pathways discovered in model systems to the study of families with
laterality defects.

2) Study the spatial regulation of maternal RNA polyadenylation and
translation during the initiation of dorsal-ventral axis formation,
and the control of Wnt gene expression in vertebrate embryos.
