Postdoctoral research fellowship (researcher code 1109) and PhD student
fellowship (code 1017), Zebrafish genetics

The Sars International Centre for Marine Molecular Biology is a new
division of the Bergen Research Foundation (UNIFOB), funded by the
Norwegian Research Council, the Ministry of Education, Research and
Church Affairs, and the University of Bergen, to promote basic research
in molecular marine biology. The Sars Centre is housed in the High
Technology Centre in the city of Bergen, a cultural and educational
center on the west coast of Norway.

A postdoctoral- and a PhD fellowship are available immediately to study
the genetics and embryology of visual system development in zebrafish
(see Development 125, 4369-4378).

Applicants for the postdoctoral fellowship (available for 3 years,
annual salary of 314.531 NOK/year, code 1109) should hold or be about to
complete a PhD and have a strong background in genetics/embryology
and/or molecular biology. Please quote reference 99/45 U in your
application.

Applicants for the PhD student fellowship should hold, or be close to
the completion of, a master's degree (or equivalent) in genetics and/or
molecular biology. Prior experience with zebrafish, though preferred,
is not necessary. The position will be connected to the University of
Bergen, and is part of the PhD program of the University of Bergen. The
position is available for a period of three years, with a salary of
241.531 NOK (code 1017) gross per annum.  Please quote reference
