Positions for Engineers, Graduates, Post-Docs, are available in the
fields of
GENOMICS / BIOINFORMATICS
The Institute (www.eb.tuebingen.mpg.de) is currently expanding its
mapping group and setting up a genomics group to analyse
genomes of various model organisms (Zebrafish, Nematodes,
Dictyostelium and others). We are seeking individuals with a strong
background in molecular genetics and/or biocomputing who are
interested in projects involving genetic and physical mapping, DNA
sequencing, transcriptomics, proteomics, or biocomputing.
Bioinformatics tasks will include the management of biological
databases, biorobotics, web programming, and Unix-system
management. It is planned to implement current computing
technology for mapping, fragment assembly and annotation, as
well as the development of new research programs.
