Dear colleagues,
The Laboratory for Physiology and Genetics of Development of the
Institute for Developmental Biology of Marseille (IBDM) is seeking to
recruit up to two group leaders. Successful candidates, with
outstanding achievements in any field of Developmental Biology
and a wish to interact with other scientists, are expected to
establish a dynamic research programme with a profound and
original impact in their field. Knowledge of French is not required.
The IBDM hosts over 20 independent research groups working on a
variety of animal models. Groups enjoy a friendly and interactive
atmosphere, a high level of scientific freedom and cutting-edge core
facilities, all of which have contributed to establish the IBDM as a
centre of excellence in Developmental Biology. In addition, the
Institute benefits from fruitful interactions with the neighbouring
Centre for Immunology of Marseille (CIML). Additional information
about the IBDM can be found at:
http://ibdm.univ-mrs.fr/
Candidates should send by February 1st 2000 a complete CV, a
two-to-three-page summary of research accomplishments and
future plans, and arrange for three letters of support to be sent to:
Search Committee, LGPD/IBDM, Campus de Luminy, case 907, F-
13288 Marseille Cedex 9, FRANCE.
Informal enquiries can be made to two recent hires, Patrick lemaire
(lemaire at lgpd.univ-mrs.fr) and Olivier Pourquié
(pourquie at lgpd.univ-mrs.fr), or to Jacques Pradel
(pradel at lgpd.univ-mrs.fr).
Yours,
