A postdoctoral positions is currently available for up to three years
to study fore- and midbrain development in the zebrafish, using
genetic, molecular and cell biological approaches. The project is an
ongoing collaboration between the laboratories of Michael Brand
and Wieland Huttner at the Dept. of Neurobiology, University of
Heidelberg and the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology
and Genetics in Dresden. The project involves the isolation and
study of zebrafish mutant affecting CNS precursor cell
development, in particular the regulation of asymmetric division.
Experience with zebrafish or other vertebrate 'model organisms'
for neural development is desirable. Applications should include a
CV, list of publications, statement of research interests, and the
names and full addresses of three referees.
CBG actively encourages female applicants.
