FACULTY POSITION
NORTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY
The Department of Biology of the College of Arts and Sciences in
conjunction with the Bouve College of Health Sciences and the
College of Computer Science invites applications for a TENURE-
TRACK ASSISTANT PROFESSORSHIP available September
2001. Qualifications include a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics or a related
discipline and postdoctoral experience. The successful candidate
will be expected to develop an externally funded research program
in Bioinformatics and to participate enthusiastically in
undergraduate and graduate teaching. In addition, the individual
will serve as the department's Faculty Program Director for the joint
Northeastern University/Boston University Professional Masters
Program in Bioinformatics. Our web site www.dac.neu.edu/biology

background on bioinformatics-related research at Northeastern.
Applicants should send a curriculum vitae, a statement of research
interests and plans, and a statement of teaching experience and
interests to the Bioinformatics Faculty Search Committee, 414
Mugar Hall, Northeastern University, Boston, MA 02115. The
applicant should also arrange to have at least three letters of
reference sent independently to the search committee. Review of
applications will begin on January 10, 2001. The position is
