Research Associte position at University of California, San
Francisco
Description:
As a full time Research Associate, you will join a newly
established laboratory and assume responsibility for managing a
zebrafish facility, performing daily operations in the lab including
ordering supplies, preparing reagents and other duties as assigned.
You will also participate in an exciting research project, using
molecular genetics and pharmacology to study the development
and function of vertebrate nervous system.
Required skills:
BS degree in a discipline related to molecular biology and
genetics. Must have experience with basic molecular biology
techniques (e.g. cloning, PCR, plasmid preps), be flexible in work
hours and able to adapt work schedule to experimental
requirements, be well-organized in performing assigned duties and
in keeping experimental records.
Preferred skills:
Experience working with zebrafish. Experience with microscopes.
Computer skills. Highly motivated, and with a strong interest in
pursuing an exciting career in biology/medicine.
The position is open until filled. Our laboratory is located at the
Parnassuss campus of UCSF. Salary will be contingent with
education and experience (US $2,430-$2,910 monthly). Please
