RESEARCH POSITION at the Laboratory of Fish Biotechnology, 
Institute of Molecular Agrobiology (IMA), National University of 
Singapore, Singapore.  

A position for an Assistant Research Officer is available from 
September 1, 2000 to undertake research in applied fish molecular 
biology/biotechnology.  

The Laboratory of Fish Biotechnology studies the molecular basis 
of sex determination and early gonad formation in fish by applying 
methods of molecular biology for possible improvements in current 
aquaculture protocols. Candidates should have an M.S. degree 
from biology. Experience with basic cloning, PCR, hybridization 
and expression techniques is essential. Previous experience with 
fish is an advantage, however candidates with mol. biol. experience 
on other species will also be considered, provided that they show 
genuine interest towards fish research.
