MOLECULAR, CELLULAR, OR DEVELOPMENTAL BIOLOGIST
The Department of Biological Sciences at Northern Illinois
University seeks to hire a tenure track Assistant Professor using
the tools of Molecular Genetics to address fundamental questions
in biology. A Ph.D in biology and postdoctoral research experience
is required. Preference will be given to individuals using a
eukaryotic model system such as Arabidopsis, yeast, C. elegans,
Drosophila or zebrafish. The successful candidate will be expected
to contribute to the department's biotechnology/bioinformatics
program, to establish a strong, externally funded research program;
supervise MS and Ph.D students, and contribute to Departmental
teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
