Mount Desert Island Biological Laboratory (MDIBL), located on
Mount Desert Island, Maine, home of Acadia National Park, is a
103-year-old independent research institution. The Laboratory has
world class seasonal scientific and educational programs and an
expanding year round research program, funded in part by the
NIEHS Center for Membrane Toxicity Studies.
MDIBL invites applications for two research scientist positions at
the level of Investigator. Candidates should have, or be competitive
to attain, a funded research program in toxicology/toxicogenomics
or cell biology/physiology using marine species. Preference will be
given to candidates incorporating the following into their research
plans: toxicogenomics, marine transgenic species, and new
marine cell lines.
Interest in collaboration with other scientists at MDIBL is essential.
The positions include attractive startup and transition funding and
eligibility for a faculty appointment in graduate programs at the
University of Maine, Orono, in association with The Jackson
Laboratory, Bar Harbor. Additional information on MDIBL is located
