2 Postdoctoral research positions are available immediately for
individuals interested in vertebrate genetics and genome analysis at
the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI).

1) Identification and Characterization of genes associated with ear
development in zebrafish and their relationship to human diseases.
This position will study isolated mutations which affect early ear
development in the zebrafish embryo. Techniques will include
mutation analysis, genomics, transplantation, physiology,
genetics, and cell biology.

2) Establishing technologies for using microarrays as a tool to
study vertebrate development. This position will aid in producing
cDNA micorarrays for zebrafish and develop the use of microarrays
to study vertebrate development, particularly blood and/or hearing
on a genome-wide basis.

The National Human Genome Research Institute at the National
Institutes of Health in Bethesda provides and exciting scientific
environment in one of the largest biomedical research facilities in
the world.

Candidates should possess an MD and/or PhD and have less than
