Do water-activated eggs undergo DNA replication?

Hello,
The fate of unfertilized eggs is interesting when they are activated
by simply exposing to water. Following activated, they undergo a
relative long cytokinesis showing unpredictably located cleavage
furrows. I wonder whether cytokinesis is preceded by associated
DNA replication in the egg nuclear. Where can I find the authoritive
references about this progression? Any reply should be
appreciated. Sincerely Fangjun Jia
