A postdoctoral position is available immediately to execute a
funded parthenogenetic histology screen in zebrafish at a well-
equipped cancer institute. We know from a completed pilot screen
that a high frequency of mutants will be found that affect single or
multiple organs. Mutants represent potential models of eye
disease, gastrointestinal disease, and cancer. The screen will
begin in 2002, but ENU mutagenesis and
characterization/positional cloning of existing mutants are of
immediate interest. Excellent organizational and communication
skills are a prerequisite. Experience with a genetic model system
is desirable but not essential. Funding is guaranteed for 3 years,
but application for extramural postdoctoral funding will be required.
To apply, please send CV, a brief description of research interests
and experience, career goals, and contact information for three
