The next receipt date for requests to have BACs of biomedical or
biological significance sequenced by the NIH Sequencing Network
is May 1.

The Trans-NIH BAC Sequencing Program has been expanded to
include all model organisms with the exception of plants and
prokaryotes. This program is intended to address the interest of the
larger biomedical research community in obtaining sequence
information about specific regions of genomic DNA of biomedical or
biological significance. Information about the program can be found
at this website:
http://www.nih.gov/science/models/bacsequencing/.
