Positions for Ph.D. Students / Postdocs

Topics can be selected from:

*  Sex Determination in Medaka (Evolution / Genetics / Molecular 
Biology / Transgenics)
*  Signalling in Melanoma cells (Proteomics / Signal Transduction 
and Protein Biochemistry in Differentiation, Proliferation and Anti-
apoptosis)
*  Transcriptional Control of Gene Expression in Melanoma of 
Xiphophorus (Oncogene overexpression / Tumor modifier genes / 
Transgenics)

Ph.D. students will be enrolled in one of the graduate programs at 
the Biocenter and may choose between obtaining the Ph.D. from 
the University of W=FCrzburg or their home university.

Postdocs will have the opportunity, depending on the qualification, 
to establish their own research group in the selected field.

The Biocenter in W=FCrzburg is a multidisciplinary academic 
research institution that combines departments of molecular and 
organismic biology, microbiology, biotechnology, bioinformatics, 
human- and neuro-genetics, and biochemistry. It offers up-to-date
