Overexpression in zebrafish embryos

Dear All,
For a while now we have been trying to overexpress various
constructs by RNA injections into zebrafish eggs. We want the
protein to be around for about 24 hours. While we were successful
with relatively short constructs (appr. 500bp) as judged by the
detection of the myc tag, longer constructs (1 kb and up) were
never detectable after a day.
Are you aware of any tricks to stabilize the RNA and get it reliably
expressed? Any info is appreciated.
Thank you!
Catherina Becker
