Fugu Genomics
The above position, funded by an NERC Environmental Genomics
award is available to characterise genes regulating muscle growth
in the pufferfish, Fugu rubripes and to investigate adaptations to
temperature change (see { HYPERLINK http://www.st-and.ac.uk/~fmrg) }http:/=
/www.st-and.ac.uk/~fmrg). This 3-
year post will involve collaboration with the MRC (UK) HGMP
Resource Centre, Hinxton near Cambridge and the University of
Tokyo and is available immediately. A working understanding of
techniques in molecular biology is essential and some experience
in bioinformatics is desirable.
