Job Description:
Research Associate/Senior Research Assistant
The Zebrafish International Resource Center at the University of
Oregon in Eugene is a full-time Research Associate or Senior
Research Assistant. This person will be for developing and conducting
assays to genotype mutant zebrafish lines. A understanding of the
required molecular and genetic techniques including PCR, mount in
situ hybridization, antibody labeling, microscopy and other general
procedures is required. This person will provide technical support to
the staff and also have the opportunity to perform research in the area
of zebrafish husbandry. The applicant will have a minimum of a BS
degree (PhD preferred) and several years laboratory experience. Skills
and knowledge in the areas ofzebrafish husbandry, in vitro and
cryopreservation are desirable but not required. The position includes
responsibilities, computer database use, and problem solving. The
ability to into a diverse work group is essential. Salary is
commensurate with qualifications experience. Send completed
