A NIH-funded postdoctoral position in zebrafish neurobiology is
available immediately in a highly interactive molecular neuroscience
group at SUNY Stony Brook. The focus of the project is to identify
gene regulatory elements that drive transgene expression in specific
neuronal subtypes in zebrafish retina. A Ph.D. is required in
molecular biology, biochemistry, genomics, developmental biology,
molecular neuroscience, or a related field. A primary emphasis on
molecular biology in prior research experience is essential. Previous
experience in one or more of the following is desirable: transgenic
technologies, analysis and characterization of gene promoters,
bacterial artificial chromosomes, zebrafish developmental biology,
