Zebrafish Research group on gastrulation and cell fate

A Post-doctoral position

is available immediately in Frederic Rosa=92s laboratory, to investigate 
cell signaling,  cell fate decisions and cell behavior during vertebrate 
gastrulation and organogenesis, using endoderm development as a 
model system. The successful candidate will be involved in the 
identification and characterization of new genes controlling these 
processes by a combined genetic and molecular approach. The 
Research Group is part of the Department of Biology, which offers 
large expertise in biochemistry, development, cell biology and 
molecular genetics, using different animal models such as mammals, 
drosophila, chicken and frogs. In addition,the Department of Biology 
houses state-of-the-art equipments, such as a new imaging facility, a 
DNA microchip facility and bioinformatics. The Ecole Normale 
Sup=E9rieure is located in the heart of Paris, and is part of a larger 
campus which can provide complementary expertise and equipment in 
biology as well as other scientific domains (chemistry, physics). 
Requested qualifications: high motivation and a strong background in 
molecular and cellular biology or molecular genetics. Knowledge of 
zebrafish development is not required but would be a plus. The 
position, funded by EU,  is open for a maximum of 3 years.  Further
