You could try Aquaneering http://www.aquaneer.com/ their products are near identical to AHAB (with a few advantages), and are more economically feasible. The phone no# is 858 541 2028 ask for Mark Francis (see if you can talk him in to borrowing a system for a year).

You can also try building a system using rain gutters, salad bar containers as fish tanks(American food services), bulkhead fittings, PVC, a magnetic pump and some ocean clear filters. Perhaps the most important and expensive item is the fish rack, you want stainless steel or some plastic composite (check out Metromax shelves) that can hold the weight of the tanks and not rust. You can probably put together a system like this (5'-6') shelf for 3k-4k.
