We have what appears to be a bacterial pathogen causing moralities
in our fish facility, however we still don't know what it is and how
to treat it.
We're waiting for our pathologists diagnosis...

Symptoms proceed as follows: initially affected fish will display
motor impairment, being slow to coordinate with tanks mates. As
things progress coloration will darken and their will be red
hemorrhaging particularly around the bases of the pectoral and pelvic
fins. The next stage is Dropsy, problems with osmoregulation cause
the fish swell with water, scales protrude giving a pine cone or
fuzzy appearance. Death soon follows. See attached photo.

Anyone has any idea? Every input appreciated

Thank you,
greg
