Dear Claudia,
studies of fish swimming pattern could estimate aerobic or anaerobic swimming performance, or could even include analysis of high-speed cameras for the study of fins movement.
A recent publication of my group could be found in Journal of Experimental Marine Biology and Ecology, 370: 75-81 and in J. Fish Biol., 74: 1309-1322. The device which was used in these studies has been succesfully used in the case of juvenile and adult zebrafish (PhD thesis, ms in preparation).
In the literature list of these papers you could find 1-2 papers on the swimming capacity of zebrafish.
Best regards
Giorgos
