Charter:

A new newsgroup, "BIOTECHNIQUES", is proposed to provide a forum for
the discussion of methods, and appropriate related issues, that have
appeared on the pages of BioTechniques - an international,
peer-reviewed journal which describes laboratory techniques in the
life sciences.

The newsgroup will also function as a rapid-communication, electronic
counterpart of the "BioFeedback" section of BioTechniques.
Participation in the newsgroup should be of value to individuals,
including the novice as well as the experienced scientist, who are
interested in the development and application of laboratory methods.

The newsgroup will be moderated by Mary McCarthy, Associate
Editor/BioTechniques.
