Newsgroup Charter and Moderation Policy:

This purpose of this newsgroup is to promote discussion among the
scientific community regarding the international Human Genome Project
(HGP), to promote the distribution of information about the various
programs supporting the HGP, and to provide scientists with easy access
to the administrators of those programs.

This newsgroup will be another means for international genome programs
to distribute announcements concerning ongoing solicitations for
genome-related applications and announcements of genome-related
meetings.  It is also intended to be a forum for public discussion of
issues pertaining to the Human Genome Project. NCHGR and DOE Human
Genome Program staff participate in this newsgroup and will respond
when appropriate.

			     IMPORTANT!!

The moderator will assume that the readers are familiar with the
policy as stated in this newsgroup charter and will reject without
comment any messages that do not follow the guidelines above.  Note
also that use of the BIOSCI/bionet newsgroups for commercial purposes
