A vacancy exists for a postdoctoral research associate to work with Dr
Julie Scholes, Dr Stephen Rolfe (Sheffield) and Dr Paul Bowyer (IACR,
Long Ashton) on a 3-year project in the Department of Animal and Plant
Sciences, University of Sheffield funded under the BBSRC Bioimaging
Initiative. The project
involves simultaneous imaging of fungal metabolism (using
carbon-responsive promoter GFP fusions) and plant carbon metabolism
(using chlorophyll fluorescence) during infection of wheat leaves by
Mycosphaerella graminicola.
Applicants must have a PhD in plant physiology/pathology or a related
discipline.
The post is for one year in the first instance.
Salary in the range stlg15,735 - stlg16,655 pa
