A technician position is immediately available in the Proteomics and
Mass Spectrometry Facility at the Donald Danforth Plant Science
Center in St. Louis, Missouri. The facility is equipped with
state-of-the-art instruments for detailed studies of biomolecules,
especially proteins and peptides. The mission of our facility is to
provide a wide variety of high quality services in biomolecule
separation, identification and structural analysis to both Danforth
Center scientists and other academic and industrial clients

Applicants should have at least a B. S. in Biology/Chemistry or
related science. Previous experience with 2D gel electrophoresis,
liquid chromatography, or mass spectrometry is beneficial, but not
absolutely required. The position requires excellent organization
skills, the ability to troubleshoot, and careful record keeping. The
successful applicant will be responsible for general laboratory
maintenance, some aspects of service work and possibly become
involved in research projects involving Danforth Center scientists.
Experienced research assistants as well as recent graduates who are
interested in gaining hands-on experience in the cutting-edge field
of Proteomics and Mass Spectrometry are encouraged to apply.
