The Department of Molecular Biology and Physiology of Plants at the
Georg-August-Universität Göttingen is looking to fill the position of a
Post-Doctoral Associate
within the lab of Dr. Cynthia Gleason. The position is full time with a
limited contract until September 2015. This position should be filled as
soon as possible. Salary: Pay grade 13 TV-L.
*Your duties *
The selected candidate will conduct research in plant/root-knot nematode
interactions at the new, the state of the art
/Schwann/-/Schleiden/-/Research//Center//. /
The goal of the project is to further understand how plant parasitic
nematodes are reprogramming themselves and their plant host
(Arabidopsis) during successful infections using transcriptome
sequencing and mutant plant analyses.
*Your profile*
.The successful candidate will hold a recent a Ph.D. degree in plant
biology or related field.
.have strong experimental skills, with working knowledge of molecular
biology techniques such gene cloning and RNA isolation. Experience with
gene expression analysis (qRT-PCR/RNA-seq) and bioinformatic methods is
desirable.
.is proficient in English.
.have a strong publication record in good scientific journals.
