Two postdoctoral research fellow positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Qiao at the department of Molecular Bioscience, University of Texas at Austin to investigate hormonal signaling and hormone's function in stress response. Our interdisciplinary research program combines aspects of genetic, genomic, proteomic, molecular, and biochemical approaches. The successful candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in plant biology or a related discipline with solid experience in standard molecular biology techniques. Candidates who have genomic study experiment are preferred. Knowledge of bioinformatics and online database usage is required. Candidates must have publications in peer-reviewed journals. The successful candidates must be able to work independently and will be expected to demonstrate research productivity through publication in relevant refereed journals. The initial appointment is for one year but renewable contingent upon satisfactory progress.
