BIOINFORMATICS/CHEMOINFORMATICS POSITIONS AVAILABLE
CENTER FOR ADVANCED RESEARCH IN BIOTECHNOLOGY

One programmer position and one graduate student or postdoctoral
position are available in a project to develop a new web-accessible
database at the Center for Advanced Research in Biotechnology (CARB)
in Rockville, Maryland. The database will contain information on
molecular recognition in biology and chemistry and will have R&D
applications in academia as well as in the biotechnology, chemistry
and pharmaceutical industries. Funding is from NSF and
NIST. Knowledge of database design and WWW connectivity important, and
a background in chemistry and/or biology is helpful. CARB
(www.carb.nist.gov) is a research and training institute focused on the
structure and function of proteins and other biomolecules. For more
