The latest release of the EMBL CD-ROM, February 1990 contains:
o EMBL Nucleotide Sequence Database, Release 22, Feb 1990
o SWISS-PROT Protein Sequence Database, Release 13, Dec. 1989
(plus all the files distributed with these 2 databases on
magnetic tape)
o Retrieval software for MS-DOS systems (uses commercial CD-ROM retrieval
engine from Fulcrum Technologies)
o Both sequence databases in NBRF format. For the nucleotide database, the
various 'divisions' (RODent, PRImate etc) are reformatted separately.
o An E. coli map database. This is also distributed with the nucleotide
sequence database, but the CD-ROM includes software from the
author Dr Kroeger, for MSDOS.
Some old (1989) demonstration CD-ROM's are available, free of charge.
Order forms can be obtained from the EMBL Data Library, or from the EMBL
File Server (send an e-mail to NETSERV at EMBL.bitnet containing the line
