There are four quarterly releases per year which are distributed on magtape
and CD-ROM. Between release new entries can be retrieved from the EMBL File
Server (see below). They are available as soon as they are finished by the
Data Library staff.

The current release is Rel. 25 (November 1990). The next release is scheduled
for February 1991.
>3) Is EMBL database a public domain DB? if so where can I find it

There are no limitations on the usage and distribution of the EMBL sequence
database. For subscription information contact DATALIB at EMBL.BITNET.
All entries are also available free of charge from the EMBL File Server. To
