Release 38 (March 1994) of the EMBL nucleotide sequence database is now
available from ftp.embl-heidelberg.de in /pub/databases/embl/release.
The release contains 167,777 sequence entries comprising
177,550,115 nucleotides. This represents an increase of about 13% over
Release
37. These figures do not include data in the files BB.DAT and PATENT.DAT
which
contain some NCBI-backbone and patent data which have not yet been
fully
integrated into the database. A breakdown of Release 38 by taxonomic
division
